      El Paso Police Identify Jaime Lara Arenivas as Pedestrian struck to death on Dyer Street

      El Paso Police Department has identified Jaime Lara Arenivas, aged 50, as the pedestrian tragically killed in a traffic incident on Monday morning, July 1st, in Northeast El Paso. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. as Arenivas was crossing from east to west on the 8600 block of Dyer Street. A 79-year-old man driving north on Dyer in an SUV collided with Arenivas.

Police have determined that the driver was unable to avoid the collision with Arenivas, who succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.
