      Lauryn Cash, Beloved Birmingham Photographer, Passes Away at 28

      Lauryn Cash, a renowned photographer and the owner of Lauryn Cash Photography in Birmingham, AL, has tragically passed away on Monday at the age of 28 after battling Adult-onset Still’s disease (AOSD). This rare systemic inflammatory disorder is characterized by daily fevers and a range of other severe symptoms.

      Lauryn Cash was a beloved daughter of Kim Sherrill Cash, a devoted sister, and a recent homeowner. A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Lauryn was known for her exceptional talent and passion for photography. Her business, Lauryn Cash Photography, captured countless cherished memories for many in the Birmingham community.

      Lauryn was remembered by friends and family as smart, hilarious, beautiful, talented, crafty, and selfless. She was above all, a great friend. Samantha Caffee, a childhood friend, wrote a touching tribute on Facebook: “Although we have drifted apart these last few years, you have always been a crucial part of my childhood. You never failed to make everyone laugh and feel welcome around you. I’m sorry we did not keep in touch, but please know I was always rooting for you and your success. Lauryn’s sweet soul will be severely missed.”

      Garywood Assembly of God, where Lauryn was actively involved, announced the funeral arrangements and shared their condolences: “Please be praying for Kim Cash and her family with the passing of her daughter, Lauryn. Lauryn was a beautiful and talented young lady who served in this church. She was involved in kids and youth ministry as well as worship and media. She will be greatly missed!”

      Visitation: Saturday, June 15, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Garywood Church
      Service: Saturday, June 15, at 2:00 PM at Garywood Church
      Graveside Service: Following the funeral service at Forest Grove
