      Obituary: Chase Charles Bonsall (1995-2024)

      Chase Charles Bonsall, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, in Chicago at the age of 28 years, 11 months, and 25 days. Born to Chuck and Brenda (Baak) Bonsall on August 1, 1995, in Denison, Iowa, Chase grew up in Dunlap and was known for his vibrant personality and exceptional talents.

      Chase graduated from Boyer Valley High School in 2014, where he was an active participant in several sports, including track, basketball, football, baseball, and cross country. His athletic achievements showcased not only his physical prowess but also his teamwork and leadership abilities, making him a respected and admired figure among his peers.

      Following high school, Chase attended Creighton University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2018 with a degree in business administration. His academic excellence continued to shine in his professional life as he made significant contributions at Uber Logistics in Chicago, Illinois. Chase’s hard work and determination earned him the respect and admiration of his coworkers and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

      Chase was known for his giving heart and his unwavering willingness to help those in need. His philanthropic nature touched many lives, and his kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on his community. He was always ready to provide a helping hand, exemplifying the type of person he was.

      In addition to his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Chase had a passion for golf, weightlifting, and working out, demonstrating his commitment to living a healthy lifestyle. His sense of humor and ability to make people smile earned him the affectionate title of “professional pot stirrer.” Chase also had a love for travel and was eagerly planning a visit to Italy, showcasing his adventurous spirit.

      Chase is survived by his mother, Brenda, and her husband Dan Cambridge of Omaha, Nebraska; his father, Chuck Bonsall of Dunlap; his sister, Kaitlyn, and her husband David Browns of Indianola, Iowa; his nephew and niece, Dawson and Kimber Browns; his stepsisters, Julia Cambridge and Spencer, and Rachael Cambridge and Ryan; his stepbrothers, Nic Cambridge and Caroline, and Will Cambridge and McKenna; his grandfather, Dennis Culver of Lake Havasu, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

      Memorial donations may be made to the Boyer Valley Booster Club or the Dunlap Fire & Rescue Department in Chase’s honor. His life, though tragically cut short, was filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to helping others. Chase will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and legacy will continue to inspire those he left behind.
