      Tragedy struck the community of Grayson, Saskatchewan, as 19-year-old Callie Metzger Grayson, a well-loved Parkland Fire hockey player, passed away in an ATV accident over the weekend. Callie, who was known for her bright smile and joyful spirit, was involved in a fatal crash that has left her family, friends, and the entire local hockey community in deep mourning.

      Callie, born on May 22, 2005, was a prominent figure in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League, where she played for the Parkland Crushers before moving on to the Parkland Fire team. Her sudden death has sent shockwaves through the community, with Melville Minor Hockey expressing their condolences in a poignant social media post.

      “MMHA extends our heartfelt condolences to Callie Metzger’s family, friends, teammates, and coaches. Callie was a beautiful spirit who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. She is gone far too soon. Our hockey community is mourning with the Metzger family,” the post read.
