Owensville Father and Daughter Killed in Boating Accident on Gasconde River

An Owensville family is mourning the loss of a father and his young daughter following a tragic boating accident on the Gasconde River in Osage County. Reven Newbound, 30, and his 7-year-old daughter were killed when their boat collided with a rock bluff near Pointers Creek on Sunday night. The incident occurred when Newbound was operating a 2002 Gatorboat upstream with seven passengers on board.
