      Robert Petterson, Beloved Motorcyclist and Community Leader, Dies in Tragic Accident

      Robert Petterson, aged 56, tragically passed away in a motorcycle collision on I-290 in Worcester at 1:40 p.m. His Harley Davidson was struck by an SUV while he was riding westbound on the highway. Petterson, a resident of Farmington, New Hampshire, was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV emerged unharmed from the incident.

      Born in Portland, Maine, to Reidar and Patricia Petterson of Windham and South Portland, Robert was known for his vibrant personality and active lifestyle. He touched many lives with his generous spirit and energetic presence.

      Raised in Windham, Robert graduated from Windham High School and pursued his passion for motorcycles as a member of the Mountain Men Motorcycle Club for over three decades. He held leadership roles across MMMC chapters in Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire, including serving as national president in the past.

      Robert’s dedication extended beyond motorcycling; he was deeply involved with the New Hampshire Motorcyclists’ Rights Organization and contributed to community initiatives such as local food drives, Toys for Tots, and donations to Meals on Wheels in memory of his mother.

      Apart from his love for motorcycles, Robert enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and cherished moments with his family. He is survived by his fiancé Shawna Collins, sister Wanda Paige, brother-in-law Thomas Paige, and relatives Michael, Alyssa, Silas Paige, and Michel.

      Robert Petterson’s sudden departure has left a profound void among family, friends, and the motorcycle community he so dearly enriched. His legacy of kindness, passion, and community spirit will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
