      Victim Identified in Fatal Upper Manhattan Shooting, Suspect Still at Large

      NEW YORK CITY – Police have identified the victim of a deadly shooting in upper Manhattan on Monday, September 16, that took the life of 32-year-old Wilmer Rosario from the Bronx. The fatal shooting occurred inside a commercial building located at 3845 10th Ave. in the Inwood neighborhood, early in the morning around 5:49 a.m., according to law enforcement sources.

      Officers from the NYPD’s 34th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, they discovered Rosario with multiple gunshot wounds to his face and chest. EMS quickly transported Rosario to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

      Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a dispute between Rosario and an unidentified suspect. A heated exchange escalated into gunfire, leaving Rosario fatally wounded. The suspect fled the scene immediately following the shooting and remains at large.

      Police have yet to release a detailed description of the suspect, though authorities confirmed that the perpetrator is male. Detectives are actively working to gather more information, but as of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
