Pennsylvania State Police reported that the fatal accident took place at 12:42 p.m., just north of the Kearsarge exit close to Millcreek Mall. Cadence was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old girl, whose car merged onto I-79 from a ramp and veered across lanes before colliding with another vehicle traveling northbound. The collision caused the driver to lose control, leading to the vehicle rolling multiple times and ejecting Cadence.
