      Orlando Woman Fatally Shot by Husband in Shopping Plaza, Suspect Arrested

      Orlando, FL – A tragic shooting unfolded on October 21, 2024, when police responded to a shooting at a commercial plaza on Lake Underhill Road. The victim, identified as 44-year-old Yuneisy Labrada Rodriguez, was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, she did not survive.

      The Orlando Police Department (OPD) was called to the scene at approximately 1:15 p.m. in response to a medical emergency reported at the 5800 block of Lake Underhill Road. Upon arrival, officers found Labrada Rodriguez, a victim of domestic violence, shot multiple times. Witnesses at the scene quickly identified her husband, Armando Verdecia Carralero (54), as the shooter.

      According to the OPD, Carralero fled the scene in a vehicle immediately after the shooting. The information was promptly relayed to surrounding law enforcement agencies, and a statewide manhunt was launched. Within hours, Carralero was apprehended by the Indian River Sheriff’s Office without incident.

      Carralero has been charged with First-Degree Murder with a Firearm and remains in custody. OPD confirmed that no additional suspects are being sought in connection to the case. The investigation is ongoing, but authorities believe this was a domestic violence-related incident.
