Dahlen Semar & Madison Guillory Found Dead in Lake Charles Home, Investigation Ongoing
A routine welfare check in Lake Charles, Louisiana, led to the tragic discovery of two deceased women at a residence on Topsy Road on the evening of November 12. Deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene around 8:00 p.m. following reports of a possible hostage situation. Upon arrival, they heard a gunshot but found no hostages inside.
After clearing the residence with the assistance of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s ACT-Team, deputies discovered the bodies of 23-year-old Dahlen Semar and 23-year-old Madison Guillory, both residents of Lake Charles. Details regarding their cause of death remain under investigation, with the coroner’s office expected to release further information.
The incident has taken an unexpected turn with the arrest of Gabriel B. Williams, 24, also of Lake Charles. Authorities allege that Williams provided false and misleading information to law enforcement about the situation and later attempted to destroy evidence. He has been charged with obstruction of justice and failure to report certain felonies and is currently being held at the Calcasieu Correctional Center.
Sheriff Stitch Guillory addressed the community, emphasizing the isolated nature of the incident. “We believe this is an isolated case. However, this tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the struggles many individuals face,” Guillory stated. He encouraged those dealing with difficulties to seek help and highlighted resources like the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, accessible by texting or calling 988.
Detective Alex Zaunbrecher is leading the investigation to determine the events that led to the deaths of Semar and Guillory. While authorities continue to gather evidence, they have assured the public of their commitment to uncovering the truth behind this heartbreaking event.
The case remains active, and further details will be released as they become available. Community members are urged to provide any information that might assist detectives in their ongoing investigation.
