      Tragic Rollover Crash in Cohocton Claims Life of Angelica Man

      COHOCTON, NY – July 3, 2024 – A devastating rollover crash on State Route 371 near State Route 21 in Cohocton claimed the life of 26-year-old Adrian V. Gregory-Kielbasa from Angelica, NY, on the evening of July 3rd. The tragic accident occurred around 4:55 p.m. when Lukas J. Ellsessor, 31, also from Angelica, lost control of his vehicle while attempting to pass another car in a no-passing zone.

      Ellsessor was driving north on State Route 371 when he tried to overtake another vehicle in a section clearly marked as a no-passing zone. This dangerous maneuver led to a loss of control, causing Ellsessor’s vehicle to roll over. Gregory-Kielbasa, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected upon impact and sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

      New York State Police in Bath were quick to respond to the emergency call. Despite their efforts, they found Gregory-Kielbasa deceased upon arrival. Ellsessor sustained minor injuries in the crash and was promptly transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for medical attention.
