Amanda’s husband, Corporal Ted Klem, shared a heartfelt statement following the tragic incident: "Our family has lost a key component in our lives. Amanda was the rock of our family and the best mother to Madison I could have ever asked for. Amanda was a fighter but was taken to heaven by God’s will. Amanda was my wife and mother of our beautiful baby girl, Madison. My heart aches but I know she is in no pain and is in a better place watching over us. I miss Amanda so much and will see her again." Ted also highlighted Amanda’s legacy of helping others: "Amanda helped so many and is continuing to do so. Amanda always talked about being an organ donor and if she could help someone else and she has it, use it. She was selfless in many ways but this is her final attempt to help someone in need. Amanda was loved by so many and it showed by the tremendous amount of support from family, friends, the law enforcement community, first responders, dispatchers, doctors, and nurses.
