      Amare Witham was a vibrant student and a standout basketball player at Glendale High School in Springfield, MO. Ranked as one of the best players in Missouri, Amare held the No. 3 spot and was renowned for his tough shot-making skills, excellent handling, and a killer mentality on the court. He was expected to graduate in 2026 and had already garnered attention from top college programs. His dynamic playing style and ability to open the floor for his teammates made him a star in the southwest Missouri sports scene.

      Amare Witham’s death has been reported as a suicide, following a battle with depression and anxiety. He was found dead on the morning of July 2, 2024, and his remains have been transported to the coroner’s office. Amare’s love for basketball was a way for him to escape the world’s troubles, and he was known for his cheerful demeanor and ambitious dreams, which will now tragically go unfulfilled.
