      Towson University Mourns the Loss of Dean Aneil Mishra

      With heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss, Towson University announces the passing of Dr. Aneil Mishra, the esteemed Dean of the College of Business & Economics. Dean Mishra, who was 62 years old, died on Sunday evening.

      Dean Mishra leaves behind his loving family, including his wife, Karen Mishra, a former TU lecturer, and their children. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with them and all who are affected by this sudden and tragic loss. Tragedies like this are difficult to understand, and this one is particularly painful for our community.

      This morning, TU leadership, including President Ginsberg and Provost Perreault, met with the College of Business & Economics staff to offer support and ensure that the university’s resources are available to all who need them. We will share further details about memorial arrangements as they become available.

      We want to remind our faculty and staff that Guidance Resources, our Employee Assistance Program, is available 24/7 for crisis counseling and support. They can be reached at 855-410-7628.
