      Teenager Killed in Barboursville Crash: DUI Charges Expected

      Barboursville, WV – A tragic crash on July 4 at the intersection of U.S. Route 60 and Davis Creek Road has claimed the life of Braxton Hayden McComas, 17, of Huntington. The incident, which occurred shortly before 9 p.m., involved three vehicles and resulted in significant injuries to others involved.

      According to reports from the Barboursville Police Department, Braxton McComas tragically died at the scene of the crash. A teenage passenger in McComas’ vehicle sustained major injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.

      Joshua Michael Wilson, 23, of Middleport, Ohio, the driver of the second vehicle involved, also required hospitalization following the crash. Upon his release, Wilson will face charges of DUI causing death and DUI causing serious bodily injury, as confirmed by the Barboursville Police Department.

      Fortunately, the driver and passengers in the third vehicle emerged from the incident unscathed, providing a small measure of relief amid the tragedy.
