SOUTH DALLAS — Authorities are investigating the death of Danyeal Garrett, 50, who was found shot inside a crashed vehicle early Sunday morning in South Dallas. The incident occurred around 12:05 a.m. in the 3600 block of Dixon Avenue, prompting a swift response from Dallas police officers.

According to a news release from the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call and discovered a chaotic scene involving a disturbance in the area. During the disturbance, unknown suspects opened fire, leading to a series of events that ended with a vehicle crash. Officers arriving at the crash site found Garrett inside the vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds.
