Simultaneously, Kaufman was driving south on Route 254, while another driver in a Volkswagen Taos SE was heading north on the same route. The driver of the Rav 4 attempted to navigate the intersection of Main Street and Route 254, leading to a collision with Kaufman’s vehicle in the southbound lane of Route 254.

      The force of the impact caused Kaufman’s vehicle to veer into the northbound lane, where it was struck head-on by the Volkswagen Taos SE.
