Schotti, the driver of the Mazda 3, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for treatment. His condition is currently unknown, as investigators continue to gather details about the accident.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers. It is unclear at this time whether speed, weather, or any other factors contributed to the collision. Authorities have not released any further information about the moments leading up to the tragic accident.

This fatal incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of wearing seat belts and practicing caution while on the road. Head-on collisions, particularly at high speeds, often result in devastating consequences. As the investigation continues, the community mourns the loss of David L. Davis and prays for the recovery of Cindy Davis and Adam Schotti.

State Troopers are asking anyone with information about the crash or witnesses who may have seen the vehicles prior to the accident to contact the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The investigation is ongoing as officials work to determine the exact cause of the accident.
