The tragic incident occurred on September 4, 2024, around 8:23 p.m. on Southwest Parkway, a major roadway known for its heavy traffic flow. Officers from the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to the scene following reports of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

      According to Sgt. Charlie Eipper, Public Information Officer with the Wichita Falls Police Department, Beeman was attempting to cross the road when the accident occurred. Investigations by the WFPD Crash Investigation Unit revealed that Beeman was walking northbound across all six lanes of Southwest Parkway when he was struck by a 2008 Ford Mustang traveling westbound. The impact was severe, and Beeman was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

      The Mustang involved in the collision was driven by a 16-year-old male, with an 18-year-old passenger also in the vehicle. Both teens were cooperative with authorities and were interviewed on-site by investigators. Following the interviews, the teens were released, and no charges have been filed at this time. Sgt. Eipper noted that the investigation is ongoing, and further details may emerge as more information becomes available.
