Fatal Shooting Prompts Intensive Manhunt for Mia Bailey in Washington City

A grim crime scene unfolded on Tuesday evening at the intersection of Indian Knolls Drive and Chinook Drive in Washington City, Utah. Police swiftly sealed off the area following reports of gunfire and the discovery of two deceased adults inside a residence at 1039 East Chinook Drive. The suspect remains at large, prompting a widespread manhunt.

According to Washington City Police Lieutenant Kory Klotz, officers responded to the scene around 7:03 PM after receiving multiple calls about shots fired. Upon arrival, they found the door of the residence ajar and immediately secured the area.

Lieutenant Klotz stated, “The investigation has unfortunately uncovered two deceased adults within the residence, one male and one female. As officers continued their meticulous search, evidence consistent with a homicide was discovered.”

Despite the intensive search, no suspect was apprehended at the scene. However, through investigative efforts, Collin Bailey has emerged as a person of interest in the case. Bailey, described as approximately 28 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 130 pounds, is believed to have hazel eyes and brown hair. Authorities caution that Bailey may alter his appearance with wigs of varying lengths.

“If spotted, please do not approach and immediately contact authorities,” urged Lieutenant Klotz. “Collin Bailey, or someone using his vehicle, may be armed with a small-caliber handgun. Public safety is paramount, so please maintain a safe distance and allow law enforcement to handle the situation.”
