      78-Year-Old Paula Louise Dickinson Identified as Victim killed in Fatal Gibson County Crash

      GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. — Authorities have identified the victim in a tragic car crash that occurred on Sunday as 78-year-old Paula Louise Dickinson of Owensville, Indiana. The Gibson County Coroner’s Office released her name on Monday following an investigation into the fatal accident.

      The collision took place at approximately 11:28 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 400 South and County Road 350 West. According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), the crash happened when a northbound Buick Century failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu.

      Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, where they discovered Dickinson critically injured. Despite efforts from the Gibson County Ambulance Service and the Owensville Montgomery Township Fire Department, Dickinson succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to an Evansville area hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been publicly disclosed.

      The Gibson County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy on Sunday, with preliminary results indicating that Dickinson died from multiple blunt force trauma.
