East Hartford Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Identified as Rosevelt Vann Jr.
Hartford police have identified 27-year-old Rosevelt Vann Jr. of East Hartford as the victim of a deadly hit-and-run that occurred early Sunday morning on Albany Avenue. Vann was struck while riding his bicycle in the 600 block of the avenue shortly after midnight, according to Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert.
Vann sustained critical injuries in the collision and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His death has left his family and friends devastated, as police work to uncover more details about the incident and locate the suspect involved in the fatal crash.
According to witnesses and initial reports, the suspect’s vehicle was a black Infiniti sedan. The vehicle was last seen fleeing the scene, traveling eastbound on Albany Avenue before turning south onto Garden Street. Despite this description, no arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large as investigators continue their search.
