      St. Paul Homicide Victim Identified as 22-Year-Old Royce D. McKinney

      St. Paul, MN – The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has identified the victim of a recent homicide in St. Paul as 22-year-old Royce D. McKinney, a resident of the city. The tragic incident unfolded on Monday night when authorities responded to a report of a vehicle crash with a gunshot victim inside at the intersection of Van Dyke Street and York Avenue, shortly after 10:30 p.m.

      Upon arrival, responders discovered McKinney in the driver’s seat of a crashed Chevy Tahoe, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite immediate efforts by St. Paul Fire medics to administer first aid, McKinney was pronounced deceased at the scene.
