Tatanisha Jackson, 43, Killed in South Side Shooting; Suspect at Large

CHICAGO — A 43-year-old woman was fatally shot Thursday afternoon in the Jackson Park Highlands neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side, police said. The victim, identified as Tatanisha Jackson, was attacked inside her residence in the 6800 block of South Cornell Avenue just before 4 p.m.

According to Chicago police, Jackson was in her home when a teenage boy approached her, drew a firearm, and fired multiple shots. Jackson was struck four times in the head. The suspect fled the scene immediately, and first responders were called to the location.
