      Shreveport Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Werner Park, Reward Offered for Information

According to a news release, Caddo Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the identification and apprehension of the individuals responsible for the incident.

      The shooting was reported on August 16, shortly before 9:30 p.m. Officers responded to the call and discovered 35-year-old Troy Ducote, a white male, suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed that Ducote was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:04 p.m.

      Investigators from the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene units are actively working on the case, canvassing the area and collecting evidence. Preliminary findings suggest that Ducote had been involved in a dispute with several juveniles prior to the shooting.
